Waterhouse Point
Nestled along the rugged coastline of northeastern Tasmania, Waterhouse Point Campsite stands as a testament to the untouched beauty of the Tasmanian wilderness. Having recently had the pleasure of staying at this hidden gem, I am excited to share my experience and encourage fellow travellers to explore the magic of Waterhouse Point.
Waterhouse Point is situated near the town of Bridport, approximately an hour's drive from Launceston. The journey to the campsite is an adventure in itself, taking you through winding sandy roads surrounded by eucalyptus forests. Upon arrival, you're greeted by the stunning expanse of the Tasmanian coastline.
Tasmania is renowned for its unique wildlife, and Waterhouse Point is no exception. During my stay, I was fortunate enough to witness a variety of birdlife and pademelons. The clear night skies also provided a perfect backdrop for stargazing.
One of the highlights of my stay was the sense of community at Waterhouse Point. Fellow campers were friendly and respectful. The campsite's laid-back atmosphere creates a welcoming environment for solo travellers, families, and anyone seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
